The San Diego Padres beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 Wednesday night after scoring 2 runs in the 9th inning.

Players the Padres acquired at the MLB trade deadline paid off in a big way Wednesday night in Arizona.

Trailing 2-1 in the 9th inning. Ryan O'Hearn, who was acquired last week from the Baltimore Orioles, hit a 391 foot homer to even the game at 2. It was O'Hearn's first homer since joining the Padres.

After O'Hearns heroics, the Padres weren't done.

Xander Bogaerts followed with a double, then scored the go-ahead run on a single by Jose Iglesias for a 3-2 lead.

In the bottom of the 9th, the newly acquire Mason Miller who came over from the A's at the trade deadline, made the lead stand up. Miller converted his first save opportunity with the Padres by striking out 3 of the 4
