PAGE, AZ (AZFamily) — Communities north of the Dragon Bravo Fire have been dealing with smoke , falling ash, and the burning of their beloved forest for over a month now. Wednesday evening, the community and fire officials came together to discuss the local impact of this fire.
Dozens of people from Page and the surrounding areas sat intently, listening to Dragon Bravo Fire officials walk them through their firefighting strategy and the challenges they’re facing with the flames and weather. They said it’s the driest they’ve ever seen this area.
Jennifer Spitz has lived in the furthest part of northern Arizona for 22 years. She said these are the worst conditions she’s seen from a fire.
“This year I’ve seen from my house, actually visible, see three different wildfires,” Spitz said.
