PROVIDENCE – Pickleball was invented 60 years ago by Joel Pritchard, a congressman from Washington State, and his friend Bill Bell, a businessman, when they improvised a badminton game with ping-pong paddles and a perforated plastic ball, according to a history from USA Pickleball.
