Police in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, are searching for a 42-year-old man accused of killing two women in separate incidents.
The suspect allegedly murdered his 22-year-old former girlfriend and later shot his 49-year-old wife. Both incidents occurred during the early hours of Tuesday, August 5.
According to police spokesperson Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana, the first shooting happened at a tavern in Chithwayo.
The man then went to his home in Unity Park, where he allegedly shot his wife while she was asleep.
After the killings, the suspect fled the scene in the family vehicle. Police later found the abandoned car, but the suspect remains at large.
The motive for the killings is still unknown, and investigations are ongoing.
