Wednesday marked "Hamilton's" 10th anniversary on Broadway , and now the celebration will continue on the big screen. Walt Disney Studios announced that the filmed performance of the Tony-winning musical starring the show's creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and the rest of the Broadway cast will screen in movie theaters for one day on Sept. 5.

The movie, which was shot at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in June 2016, premiered on Disney+ in the summer of 2020 and is still available on the streaming service. A bonus for moviegoers will be “Reuniting the Revolution,” a prologue featuring new interviews with the original cast and creators about the show and the impact it has had on their lives.
