WARWICK – Darkened woods on a bluff overlooking Greenwich Cove in Goddard Memorial State Park were the setting Wednesday evening for the latest filming in M. Night Shyamalan's supernatural romantic thriller "Remain," starring Jake Gyllenhaal.
The overnight movie shoot Aug. 6 into Aug. 7 came as the production is expected to wrap filming before this weekend.
Movie trucks had set up a not-do-small village along the main park road in an area adjacent to a bridle trail above the cove's shoreline.
When Shyamalan arrived on set as late afternoon yielded to evening, crew members shouted, "Happy birthday, Night!" in honor of the director's 55th. Then the crew went about setting up lights at several spots in the woods.
In addition to Gyllenhaal, "Remain" stars Ashley Walters , Phoebe Dynevor
