The best way to build a safer community is to know your neighbors and surroundings. National Night Out is a program that helps build relationships between local law enforcement and the community.
“It really gives us a chance to hear from the community directly what some of the issues are,” said Lieutenant Jesse Taylor.
“A lot of the time we get reports and we don't get that, we don't get to see all of the different moving parts or people that we're trying to get to know,” said Taylor.
“We are receptive of constructive criticism or suggestions. We just are here to serve the public and I'd love to hear any feedback that we can get.”
The event is an opportunity for community members to come out and connect, and for law enforcement to recognize the connections made and to put a name to a f
