TEMPLE, Texas — Tax Free Weekend begins Friday, August 8 and will run through the end of the day Sunday, August 10.

The tax holiday covers most clothing and footwear under $100, school supplies and backpacks under $100. Also included in the exemption for Texas are diapers and baby clothes.

Typically, electronics, sports gear, jewelry, purses and other luxury items will stay subject to sales tax during the weekend. Additionally individual items priced at over $100 will be subject to the standard sales tax. A full list of qualifying items can be found at the link HERE .
