The Australian-Canadian band, Belle Miners, will be coming to Port Alberni on Saturday, Aug. 9.

The folk-country group will perform at Char's Landing and are also hosting a singing and songwriting workshop earlier in the day.

Last year they performed at Char's Landing to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

They are back on the Island again this summer following the wedding of two of their band mates, including Daine Spowart, who plays the drums.

"(Belle Miners are) bringing their new energy home to audiences who have supported them since their first (Canadian) tour. With new songs, timeless harmonies, and stories from a decade-long journey across continents, Belle Miners are as heartfelt and resonant as ever," said a spokesperson in a press release.
