Police said they're looking for the driver of a vehicle who struck and killed a woman as she crossed a Bronx street late Wednesday night and then fled the scene.
NYPD officials said the 44-year-old victim was crossing 174th Street and Macombs Road in Morris Heights around 11:45 p.m. when she was hit. They did not immediately have a description of the car or its driver, and did not identify the woman as they worked to notify her family.
Detectives are also still trying to find the driver of a vehicle who fatally hit a 47-year-old man at Broadway and Suydam Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn early Saturday morning — dragging him for more than 50 feet before driving away. The dead man's identity is also still pending family notification.
