The fast-food chicken wars have entered a new battleground — and this time, it's all about the tender.

McDonald's launched its new McCrispy Strips in May, marking the first time chicken strips have been on the menu since the pandemic.

Taco Bell is also experimenting with crispy chicken following the release of its limited-time-only crispy chicken nuggets.

In June, the chain launched its own chicken strips, which are available on their own or as part of a taco or burrito and feature the same tortilla-chip breading as the nuggets.
