A man is facing felony charges for allegedly firing a gun at a car full of teenagers in a suburban McDonald’s drive-thru.

Mount Prospect police said their officers responded to a report of shots fired just before 1 a.m. on July 25 at the McDonald’s located at 13 West Rand Road.

Police say a dark-colored sedan pulled alongside a Honda Pilot occupied by four teenagers at the drive-thru window and tried to talk to the teenagers, police said. Then, the driver of the sedan pulled away while pointing a handgun out the car window.

The teenagers, all 16 years old, reported heading "what they believed to be a gunshot" before the sedan sped out of the parking lot and fled the area, police said. The teens were not hurt and called 911 to report the incident.
