Yanin Campos, a former MasterChef México contestant and TikTok influencer, died on Monday at the age of 38.

She died in the hospital two days after a car accident in her home city of Chihuahua, Mexico , Mexican newspaper El Financiero reported.

The Context

Campos rose to fame in 2018 after starring on MasterChef México , where she placed sixth in the culinary competition. One year later, she appeared on MasterChef México: La Revancha ("The Revenge").

At the time of her death, Campos had over 100,200 followers on TikTok and more than 76,200 followers on Instagram .
