INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WFIE) - Vice President JD Vance will be visiting Indiana Thursday.

Governor Mike Braun said the Vice President will be coming to Indianapolis.

He’s expected to discuss several things, including the possibility of re-drawing several of Indiana’s house districts.

This all comes after dozens of Texas lawmakers left their state to avoid a re-drawing of their own.

Indiana is staunchly Republican, but opponents of any redistricting attempt are planning to make their objections known with protests and a news conference by the two Democratic members of the state’s congressional delegation.

Gov. Braun would have to call a special session if he chooses to start the redistricting process, but lawmakers have the sole power to draw up new maps.
