LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- NBA veteran Marcus Morris is no longer facing fraud and theft charges in Las Vegas.

According to court documents, the charges against former NBA player Marcus Morris were dismissed Wednesday after he paid off the debts he owed to two Las Vegas casinos.

He faced charges after writing checks totaling $265,000 to the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino and the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in 2024 for a line of credit to gamble. He was arrested on July 27 in Florida on a warrant because there were insufficient funds in Morris's bank account to cover what he owed.

After his arrest, Morris said on his Instagram account that what bothered him most was "(expletive) with my character first and foremost and putting me in jail in front of my family."
