A lucky Powerball player in Northern California fell one number short of a jackpot but still won $702,000 in Wednesday night’s draw, according to the California Lottery.
The winning ticket matching the first five numbers was sold at DeJacks Country Store at 105 Second St. in the city of Isleton in Sacramento County, just outside the Bay Area, the lottery said.
The winning numbers in Wednesday night’s $449 million draw were 15-27-43-45-53 and the Powerball 9.
There were no jackpot winners in the multi-state Powerball draw, so the pot rolls over to an estimated $482 million for Saturday’s draw, according to the lottery.
There also was a 5/5 winning ticket sold locally in Wednesday night’s Superlotto Plus draw. The ticket worth $35,700 was sold at Charter Liquors at 34177 Fremont Blvd. in
