The Michigan Wolverines are in the midst of some intense position battles this fall camp, as every player on the roster is fighting for a starting spot.
For the offensive line specifically, Michigan has three starters penciled in at center, left guard and right tackle. But there is still uncertainty about who will be starting at left tackle and right guard.
The first candidate is Evan Link, a redshirt sophomore who started at right tackle last season. He struggled mightily on the right side, playing a position that was unnatural to him having played on the left side all throughout high school. However, Grant Newsome and Sherrone Moore played Link on the left side of the line during the bowl game against Alabama, and that decision paid off.
