ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A suspect accused of breaking into a gas station in Trent to steal cigarettes on 3 separate occasions has been arrested.

Duwayne Pardue was taken into custody Tuesday on three counts of Burglary of a Building in connection to the allegations.

Court documents state that twice in October 2023 and once in December 2023, officers responded to burglaries at the DK Alon in Trent where a suspect had broken a window at the front of the business in order to take numerous packs of cigarettes from inside.

A bolt-cutting tool was also found on the floor by the broken window during one of these incident.

The documents state detectives were able to use surveillance video screenshots to identify Pardue as the suspect in all three burglaries.
