Londonderry Police declared an all-clear early Thursday morning after a bomb threat at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport was deemed a hoax.

Town police received a report shortly after midnight from New Boston Police about a possible explosive device in a vehicle at the airport parking garage, the Londonderry Police Department said in a news statement.

Officers from the airport and additional Londonderry patrol units responded to assess the threat. During the investigation, authorities received information suggesting the caller might have been armed with an AR-15 rifle, said authorities.

Police cleared the parking garage and surrounding areas as a precaution. After a thorough search, no explosive device was found and the threat was deemed unfounded, according to police.
