WILKES-BARRE — A woman who was the victim of threats by an ex-boyfriend pledged to help other victims of domestic violence.
The woman spoke during the sentencing hearing of Kyle J. Footman, 26, of East Pettebone Street, Forty Fort, who was convicted by a Luzerne County jury on charges of terroristic threats and harassment after a one-day trial before Judge Michael T. Vough in June.
Footman was charged by Nanticoke police when the woman reported Footman threatened to kill her and family members if she did not go to his residence on May 23, 2024, according to court records.
She reported to police she was fearful of the threats as she knew Footman was in possession of a handgun, court records say.
“I want to take full accountability for my actions,” Footman said before he was sentenced by
