Former Superman actor Dean Cain announced Wednesday that he has joined the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and he is encouraging others to do the same.

Cain, a Michigan native, portrayed the man of steel for several years in the 1990s on “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.” More recently, he has starred in several Lifetime movies.

According to the filmmaker’s X and Instagram accounts, he already was a deputy sheriff and reserve police officer prior to joining ICE. He went on to tout the reasons why others should consider the federal agency as a career path.
