(WSPA) - Daniel High School head football coach Chris Stone will return to his coaching and teaching duties on Saturday following a school district review of his program.
Stone, who is in his first year as head coach of the Lions, was placed on administrative leave by the School District of Pickens County on July 30.
"The district will have no further comment on personnel matters, and we respectfully ask that Coach Stone be allowed to return to his duties without disruption," a district spokesperson said in a statement.
The Daniel Lions football team has been under scrutiny after an incident in July involving players at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes 7-on-7 football camp being held at Presbyterian College in Clinton.
