SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. (WETM) – United Way of the Southern Tier is partnering with Siemens Energy to sponsor a Back-to-School Toiletries Drive to help children in need.

Back-to-school season is quickly approaching, and many children in the area lack access to the basic items they need to get through the day. In an effort to help these children receive the basic care they need, the community is invited to participate in a toiletries drive to collect items that aren't covered through government benefits.

Items being collected for the drive include toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, bar soap, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, dental floss, lip balm, hand cream, combs/brushes/picks, small packs of tissues and small bottles of hand sanitizer. Items will be collected through F
