Two men have been charged with murder following an investigation by Kent Police into the death of a man in Sittingbourne town centre.

The force was called shortly after 9.30pm on Saturday 2 August 2025 to a report of a collision involving a car and a man on St Michael’s Road.

The pedestrian fell from a wall after being chased, before colliding with a vehicle near to the junction with Dover Street, according to police.

Officers attended along with paramedics, but a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jack Hunt, 33, of Platinum Way in Borden and Chris McClean, 43, of Pembury Court in Sittingbourne, have both been charged with murder.

Mr McClean has also been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine.

Mr Hunt, 33, was remanded in custody to Medway Magistrates’ C
