Legendary filmmaker and New Yorker Spike Lee will host a Pop-Up Stoop Sale this Saturday, Aug. 9, featuring vintage posters, one sheets, and books — and the Academy Award winning director himself will be on hand to sign merchandise for fans and shoppers.
The event, which runs from 12-7 p.m., will take place at the headquarters for Lee’s production company, 40 Acres and Mule Filmworks, located at 75 S. Elliott Place in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
In his work, Spike Lee, whose films include “Do the Right Thing,” “Malcolm X,” and “BlacKkKlansmen,” has tackled themes like race relations and the Black experience through depictions of urban life and large-scale historical events.
