WILKES-BARRE — During a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation on Sans Souci Parkway in Hanover Township on Jan. 25, 2024, then-29-year-old Christopher Peters told an officer he was 13 years of age, according to court records.
After more questioning, Peters provided his true name and date-of-birth as a consent to search the vehicle resulted in a bag of methamphetamines being found in his backpack, court records say.
Peters would get arrested two more times during 2024 for trafficking methamphetamines.
On Thursday, Luzerne County Judge Michael T. Vough sentenced Peters, today 30, of West Field Street, Nanticoke, to 15-to-30 months in state prison on three separate counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and a single count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
