The recent killing of two parents on a trail in Arkansas has sparked renewed interest in the unsolved fatal shooting of a retired college dean on a Vermont recreation trail nearly two years ago.

Vermont State Police on Thursday addressed speculation over a possible connection between the killing of Honoree Fleming in October 2023 near Vermont State University's Castleton Campus and the fatal stabbings last month of Clinton and Cristen Brink in Devil’s Den State Park , for which James Andrew McGann was arrested .

Scores of tips have been sent in in the hunt for Fleming's killer, and a sketch of a person of interest was released , but no arrests have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing. W
