WILKES-BARRE — A Wilkes-Barre man apologized calling his actions “senseless” when he fired multiple shots in a drive-by shooting in the area of Meyers and East Grove streets, Edwardsville, last year.

Edwardsville police charged Shawn Richard Shannon, 42, last known address as Pearl Street, with firing the shots in retaliation of being shot at after a fight in the Hilltop Apartment Complex on June 2, 2024, according to court records.

Police in court records say surveillance cameras recorded two vehicles involved in the shooting.

Video footage showed occupants of both vehicles shot at each other before fleeing the scene, court records say.

Police tracked one of the vehicles to the residence of Iquasia Alexius Yearwood, 29, on Summit Street in Edwardsville where they spoke with Shannon.
