Air Canada flight attendants overwhelmingly approved a strike mandate on Tuesday and could walk off the job as early as this month.

When could Air Canada workers go on strike?

Workers could strike as soon as Aug. 16 at 12:01 a.m. with at least 72 hours’ notice provided, after members voted on Tuesday 99.7 per cent in favour of strike action, if necessary.

The vote is required for legal job action, but it does not necessarily mean the flight attendants will strike.
