CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - The Cape Girardeau County Commission approved the purchase of the blue tax receipt envelopes at Thursday morning’s regular meeting.
The county is purchasing 45,000 of them for just over $4,000.
County Collector Barbara Gholson said they didn’t want to run out. The blue envelopes help taxpayers find their receipts in their files.
Southeast Missouri State President Dr. Brad Hodson attended the meeting and was welcomed by the commissioners.
Cape Girardeau Emergency Management Director Sam Herndon updated the commission on the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s planned use of the EMA building.
FEMA will use the facility as its base of operations for southeast Missouri.
