Bev Facey Falcons footballer Luc IronEagle helped Team Alberta win gold at the U18 Football Canada Cup in July.
Competing in St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Team Alberta got off to a hot start winning 52-7 against Manitoba and edging out Quebec 34-27. Down 21-7 at halftime against Ontario in the final gold medal game, the team fought back, winning 37-34 in overtime.
“It was the ultimate comeback,” expressed IronEagle.
