SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY, PA (WENY) -- Authorities are at an active scene in Susquehanna County, where Pennsylvania State Police say two state troopers were shot Thursday afternoon.
According to PSP, the troopers were shot while responding to a call on Route 171 in the northeastern part of the county. Both were taken to local hospitals.
Governor Josh Shapiro is headed to the area, and says the investigation is ongoing.
A portion of Route 171 north of Thompson remains closed at this time. The area is approximately 35 miles southeast of Binghamton, across the PA border.
