A standing ovation is how the game ended after the Chicago Sky broke their eight-game losing streak Tuesday night at Wintrust Arena, riding from the momentum Ariel Atkins brought in in her first game back since Jul. 14

The Sky defeated the Washington Mystics 78-64, improving to 8-21 on the season and 5-10 at home. Chicago dominated early, opening the game on a 25-8 run and outscoring the Mystics 25-10 in the first quarter, resulting in one of their largest first-quarter leads this season.

Elizabeth Williams led all scorers with 18 points and 10 rebounds, marking her second consecutive double-double. Kamilla Cardoso also was very aggressive this game, completing her seventh straight double-double, tallying 16 points and 13 rebounds.
