Wild pigs with glowing blue flesh have left California trappers gobsmacked, and have prompted a stark warning from state officials. ‌

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) confirmed the bizarre finds in Monterey County were not a hoax, blaming a deadly rat poison for the electric-blue innards. “It’s mental,” said Dan Burton, boss of Urban Trapping Wildlife Control, who first spotted the weirdly coloured pigs. “This isn’t a hint of blue; it’s proper neon, blueberry blue,” he told The Los Angeles Times. ‌
