LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- E-bikes and e-scooters are a popular way for some kids to get to and from school, but they can be dangerous for the rider and others.
Henderson police said "nearly 30% of all auto vs bicyclist injury collisions involved an e-bike." That's just one reason officers are launching a campaign before the new school year. In the first six months of 2025, there were 23 injury crashes involving e-bikes.
“Keeping our community safe, especially our youth, is a shared responsibility,” said Henderson Police Chief Reggie Rader. “This campaign is part of our effort to better inform and protect our residents by highlighting the serious risks associated with e-bikes.”
