July was a barely adequate month for the relief corps of the San Francisco Giants, which is a bummer note to go out on for a group that had been so strong coming into the season. This past deadline featured a selloff of two key figures: Tyler Rogers and Camilo Doval.
The selloff was a surprise only if you hadn’t been paying attention for the month leading up to it, but beyond that, it’s also no surprise that it was Rogers and Doval who went together. They have been linked for nearly their entire careers. Whenever Camilo Doval was near the top of a leaderboard, there was Tyler Rogers, too.
