Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the shooting of two state troopers on Aug. 7.
According to a press release issued by the state police, the troopers were shot after responding to a call on Route 171 in northeastern Susquehanna County, around 5 miles north of the Town of Thompson.
The troopers were transported to local hospitals. State police said an update on their conditions, along with "information on the suspect," would be provided at a later time.
Troopers are asking the public to avoid the area of the shooting.
