A stretch of northbound Interstate 680 in the East Bay will be closed this weekend for a bridge rehabilitation project, according to Caltrans.
Northbound traffic will be directed off the freeway at Mission Boulevard/State Route 238 in Fremont starting Friday night. Partial lane closures will start at 8 p.m., with the full closure set to kick in at 10 p.m. Lanes are slated to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, according to Caltrans.
Crews will be spending the weekend working on “critical bridge and pavement repairs,” Caltrans said.
