MASURY, Ohio (WKBN) – A mother in Ohio who lost her daughter to a sudden illness is finding comfort in knowing her daughter's final gift — a heart donation — has saved a woman's life.

One year ago, Kaitlan Adams went into sudden cardiac arrest at just 22 years old. Doctors found internal bleeding from an undetected ectopic pregnancy. Kaitlan died days later, but her story didn't end there.

"My legs just turned to Jell-O," Sandra Hutchinson, Adams' mother, said. "I'm like, 'What's going on?' For a moment, it felt like a nightmare, like it wasn't really happening."

But Kaitlan's organs are now saving three lives. Her kidney and liver each went to two different recipients, and her heart now beats inside Nasasha Parker.
