Metro Nashville police padlocked and shut down the 404 Bar & Grill in the Midtown Hills area.
Crews boarded up the windows, hung a banner that said "Closed by Court Order" and confiscated gambling machines from the estamblishment on Elysian Fields Road around 10 a.m. Aug. 7.
The restaurant had "continued issues and calls for service over the last five years draining resources from Midtown Hills Precinct," the department said in a post on X.
Midtown Hills Commander Sean Richmond said the business has been a public nuisance.
"Over the course of five years, we've responded to approximately 123 calls for service at this location," Richmond said during a news conference. "Officers have conducted 314 extra patrols at this location. That's very labor intensive on the police department. This t
