ALCOA, Tenn. (WVLT) - McGhee Tyson Airport is under “restricted operations” after losing power around 1:45 p.m. Thursday, according to Vice President of Public Relations Becky Huckaby.

“Passengers should expect delays in their check in process. Arriving flights have also been impacted,” she said. “Please check with your airline for specific information on your flight.”

Right after the outage, which was caused by an electrical issue, the airport’s department of public safety responded, Huckaby said. She added that staff is working with contractors and the City of Alcoa to make more repairs.
