Long Beach police are asking for help in their investigation into the shooting deaths of two men near Compton Creek.
Officers responded at about 8:35 p.m. Wednesday to the area near a tributary of the Los Angeles River and the 710 Freeway. Two men who are believed to be homeless suffered gunshot wounds to the upper body.

The location appear to be near a homeless encampment just off the freeway.
Their identities were withheld, pending notification of family.
