PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - One person has died and several others were hurt in a series of crashes in the King neighborhood on Thursday, according to the Portland Police Bureau (PPB).

At about 11:46 a.m., officers responded to a report of a serious crash in the 5900 block of NE Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. When officers arrived to the scene, they found one person dead and multiple people injured. Police say the person who died was a pedestrian.

At least three other people were taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.

There were two separate crashes on NE MLK Jr. Boulevard at NE Jarrett Street and NE Ainsworth Street.

No suspects are being sought, according to police.
