LUBBOCK, Texas-- Five-star edge rusher and the second-best player in the country, LaDamion Guyton, has committed to Texas Tech for the class of 2027 over teams such as Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina, according to On3 Reports on Thursday.
Guyton played football at Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Georgia, where he was ranked as the top player in the state. The University of Georgia was the first college program to offer him a scholarship.
Bringing in Guyton at the beginning of the 2027 recruiting class could help Coach Joey McGuire and the Red Raiders secure more five-star recruits and attract the attention of other elite players.
