BRAINERD — The Lakes Area Music Festival continues its Myths and Magic season with a program that pairs classical era charm with 20th century satire. "Haydn & Shostakovich" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, at the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts in Brainerd.
This evening opens with "The Horses of Saint Mark" by Serbian composer Isidora Žebeljan, evoking the mysterious history of the ancient bronze horses that crown Venice’s iconic cathedral.
