Community Bank is pumping up its presence in the Buffalo area.

Its parent, Community Financial System, is making headway on a $6 million new regional office, at 300 Corporate Parkway in Amherst, that should be complete this fall.

Meanwhile, its banking subsidiary, Community Bank, has opened two more branches in Erie County this year, in West Seneca and Amherst. And Community Bank has made significant hires in the Buffalo area, including a new chief financial officer, Marya Burgio Wlos.

"We view the Buffalo market as a huge opportunity for us," said Chris Humphrey, the bank's Western New York regional president. "It's technically the largest market that our bank operates in."
