KILLINGLY, Conn — A Killingly fire left one person with serious injuries Thursday and prompted an investigation involving the Fire and Explosives Investigative Unit, or FEIU.

Route 101 is currently closed at Chestnut Hill Road due to the fire, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

Connecticut State Police said troopers from Troop D went to Hartford Pike in Killingly at 1:30 p.m. for the residential structure fire.

Everyone made it out of the fire, with one person who was seriously hurt and flown by LIFESTAR, state police said.

FEIU is assisting the local fire marshal with the investigation.

The East Putnam Fire Department said in a Facebook post that they were assisting the East Killingly Fire Department in their response to the fire.
