Six students were recognized by the Newman Regional Health Volunteers program with annual healthcare scholarships. The scholarships, $3,000 each, are awarded to those pursuing a career or any additional training in the healthcare field.

Since its inception in 1965, the annual healthcare scholarships have awarded more than $165,000 in financial aid.

The names of the recipients were: Morgan Davis, Natalie Duncan, Piper Hall, Ryane Howe, and Samantha Pankratz. A special 75th Anniversary award was given to Aileen Palomino.

Marcia Law, Scholarship Chair, congratulated the students’ on their recognition in a written release.
