MADISON, Wis. -- A man was found unresponsive on a downtown Madison sidewalk Thursday morning and later died, police said.
Officers were called to the 100 block of South Hancock Street at around 5:30 a.m. after a 911 caller saw the man passed out.
The caller and Madison Fire Department personnel performed lifesaving measures, but the man died at the scene. Officers reportedly found drug paraphernalia nearby.
Police did not share any further information about the man including his name, age or race. An autopsy is set for a later date.
