The government has announced plans to introduce licensing for clinics administering Botox or fillers, and to require that only qualified health professionals carry out the most high-risk cosmetic procedures.

It comes in response to growing concerns about customers getting treatments from untrained people, sometimes in unsafe premises. Some have been left with dangerous complications which have even proved fatal. But will the new approach go far enough?
